The first teaser of "Manglish" directed by Salam Bappu is released. The film is all set to release for Eid on 27 July. Dutch actress Caroline Bech plays opposite Mammootty in the lead role.
The teaser introduces the character Malik Bhai played by Mammootty. The teaser shows Mammootty's in a different looks and ends with the punch dialogue "Ethu Scenum Bhaiyiku Okayanu Muthe!" (Any scene is okay with Bhai).
Malik Bhai is a familiar face in Cochin Harbour. He is everybody's favourite as he is always there to lend his help to anyone who needs support. His life takes a turn when Michelle, a foreigner enters his life.
Michelle is in India for a purpose and Malik tries to help her to attain her goal. Communication becomes a hurdle between them as they both do not have a common language. Even though Malik tries to bring a third person to communicate, Michelle sends him back as she does not want a third person to be part of her plan.
"Manglish" is a comedy entertainer that revolves around Malik and Michelle's confusion in communicating with each other. The final shooting schedule of the film was finished in Amsterdam on 15 July and is in the final stages of post-production.
"Manglish" will be the first Malayalam film to release in Dolby Atmos sound format, which is known for producing life-like natural sound experience in films. The sound effect is also capable of reflecting artist's original sound regardless of the theatre set up.
This format was previously used in Hollywood films including "Life of Pi", "Brave", "Transformers: Age of Extinction" and "300: Rise of an Empire" and certain Indian films such as "Dhoom 3", "Gunday" and Sivaji 3D."
"Manglish" also got noticed for the promo song of the film "Njanga Ponenatta", which was sung by Mammootty's son and actor Dulquer Salmaan. The posters of the film also got popular recently in which separate posters introduced each character in the film.
The Mammootty starrer is produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner of Red Rose creations. The story, screen play and dialogues are done by Riyas and Pradheesh Varma will wield the camera for the film. The music is composed by Gopi Sunder and the lyrics are penned by Hari Narayanan and Santhosh Varma.
