The much awaited first look poster of the upcoming Malayalam movie "Kasaba" was released on the Facebook page of megastar Mammootty on Sunday, May 29. Mammootty, who plays the role of a police officer in the film, is seen sitting in front of a police jeep in the poster.
However, the colourful poster of the movie has opened to negative response from the audience who have started creating many troll messages against the actor and the makers of the film. Within hours of the poster release, the memes started doing the rounds on social media.

Mammootty will be seen as Circle Inspector Rajan Zachariah and Tamil actor Sarathkumar's daughter Varalaxmi stars opposite the megastar. The movie is the debut directorial venture of Nithin Renji Panicker, who has assisted his father Renji Panicker and director Shaji Kailas in many movies. Although "Kasaba" is an action thriller, Nithin had earlier said that it will not be like his father's classic action thrillers with fiery dialogues. The film also has Tamil actor Sampath in a pivotal role and is expected to hit the screens on July 7.
Meanwhile, Mammootty, who was last seen in the superhit movie "Puthiya Niyamam," is also awaiting the release of Uday Anathan's "White," in which he plays Prakash Roy, a London-based millionaire, who falls in love with a 25-year-old girl, played by Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi. The megastar is currently busy with the shooting of Johny Antony's family entertainer "Thoppil Joppan" and will soon join the sets of Lijo Jose Pellissery's upcoming movie.
