Megastar Mammootty released Saturday, Feb. 27, the curtain-raiser video of Kerala's first sound-and-light hybrid show on his Facebook page. The actor is heard narrating the 500-year-long history of the Portuguese St Angelo's Fort in the teaser.
"Fort St. Angelo otherwise known to us as Kannur Kotta gets ready for a monumental sound and light hybrid show. It's a new experience to voice 500 years of history through my lead character ' The Count of Fort St. Angelo '. It features my voice which will speak out the tales of the Fort.
Here is the curtain raiser, (sic)" wrote Mammootty while sharing the teaser video.
"The trailer is an audio-visual invitation to an enticing show to experience the state's first-ever monumental hybrid show," said Kerala Tourism Minister Anil Kumar while announcing it.
The history of the 16th-century St Angelo's Fort, from its origin to India's Independence, will be presented Feb. 29 with multimedia and laser lighting. The event will be inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
The 53-minute show is written and directed by Shanker Ramakrishnan and designed and produced by Symbolein Technologies, based in Bengaluru, for DTPC, Kannur.
The Tourism Department of Kerala has also expressed its gratitude to the megastar for offering his support towards the venture.
Mammootty, who is basking in the success of AK Sajan's "Puthiya Niyamam", is currently in Kolar, Bengaluru, for the shooting of the upcoming Nithin Renji Panicker directorial "Kasaba" opposite Sarathkumar's daughter Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
