Malayalam industry is gearing up for the release of some big movies in the background of summer vacation and the Easter-Vishu festive season in Kerala. As per the latest reports, the much awaited Mammootty-Nayantahra movie "Bhaskar the Rascal" is scheduled to release the movie on 12 April.
With the news, it has almost confirmed that the movie will now lock horns with Dileep most awaited movie, "Ivan Marydharaman" for the festive season.
"Bhaskar The Rascal' is directed by hit maker Siddhique and as per the latest reports, the movie is currently at the post-production phase. It is touted as a typical Siddique movie with elements of comedy, dance and music.
"Bhaskar the Rascal" is Siddique's third project with Mammootty after a 10-year gap. They had earlier worked together for "Hitler" (1996) and "Chronic Bachelor" (2003), which were big successes at the Kerala box office.
For Nayanthara, this is her second movie with Siddique after "Body Guard" (Malayalam) and the actress have previously worked with Mammootty in movies like "Thaskara Veeran" and "Rappakal".
"Ivan Maryadharaman" starring Dileep and Nikki Galrani in the lead is touted as yet another masala comedy entertainer. The film directed by debutant Suresh Payippad is the remake of 2010 Telugu hit movie "Maryada Ramanna", directed by SS Rajamouli.
The team had recently released the trailer of the film, which had received positive reviews from audience and as per reports, the movie will be hitting theatres on 2 April.
Scripted by the hit pair Uday Krishna and Siby K Thomas, "Ivan Maryadharaman" will be their 20th film with Dileep after 2013 flick "Sringaravelan".
Interestingly, both "Bhaskar The Rasacal" and 'Ivan Maryadharaman" are produced by Anto Joseph and he has taken the big gamble of releasing these two big movies in a gap of 10 days.
