Mammootty's upcoming movie "Puthiya Niyamam" is one of the most awaited Malayalam projects of the year. It is the first movie of the megastar in 2016 and the makers have been postponing the release date of the family entertainer for quite some time.
Now, here is some good news for Mammootty fans as the actor has announced the release date of the AK Saajan directorial. "‪#‎PuthiyaNiyamam‬ Releasing On February 12," the megastar posted on his Facebook page.
The AK Saajan directorial marks the comeback of Mammootty and Nayantara after director Siddique's hit movie "Bhaskar The Rascal" in 2015. While Mammootty plays the role of Advocate Louis Pothen with communist inclination, Nayantara is seen as his wife Vasuki Iyer.
"Puthiya Niyamam," which was earlier titled "Solomonte Koodaram," also features Sheelu Abraham (as Jeena Bhai IPS), Rachana Narayanankutty (as Kanimani), Baby Ananya (as Chintha), Aju Varghese, Vinay Forrt, Jayaraj Warrier and SN Swami. While Vinu Thomas has composed the music, Rafeeq Ahamed has penned the lyrics of the songs. The 2-hour-13-minute-long family entertainer is being produced by P Venugopal and Geo Abraham.
The Mammootty starrer was set to lock horns with Kavya Madhavan and Vijay Babu's "AakashVani" on 12 February, but the makers of the latter postponed its release date to 19 February and it is believed to have been done to avoid a clash at the box office. With no big films locking horns, the Mammootty starrer is expected to witness a good crowd on the opening day. Mammootty's previous movie "Pathemari," directed by Salim Ahamed, was a huge hit at the box office in India and abroad.
