Mammootty, who is basking in the success of the cop movie "Kasaba," is set to enthral his fans in another avatar soon, with the upcoming film "White." The release date of the much-awaited Malayalam movie, which has been decided and postponed many times, is now said to be finally confirmed to July 29.
The makers of the upcoming romantic entertainer have reportedly confirmed that the Mammootty-starrer will hit the screens on July 29, making it the second release of the megastar in this month, after "Kasaba." The movie is set to lock horns with Johnpaul George's "Guppy" and the small-budget film "Kismath" at the Kerala box office.
The Uday Anathan-directed film, set in London, narrates the story of billionaire Prakash Roy, who falls in love with a 25-year-old girl, Roshni Menon, played by Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi. Mammootty's stylish look in the film has already become the talk of tinseltown since the release of its first-look poster featuring the megastar and the "Badlapur" actress.

The trailer of "White" was also well received by movie-goers, and has raised the expectations of viewers from the movie. The one-minute 22-second video, released in April, has been viewed more than 6.2 lakh times, at the time of reporting. The film has been co-written by Uday, Nandini Valsan and Praveen Balakrishnan. The film's music has been composed by Rahul Raj and lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahamed.
Meanwhile, the megastar's latest release "Kasaba," directed by Nithin Renji Panicker, is set to become one of the highest grossing movies of Mammootty. The action thriller, in which the actor played CI Rajan Zacharia, is said to have earned a gross amount of Rs. 7.35 crore within four days of its release in Kerala.
