Indian actress Mallika Sherawat, who recently shot for the NOH8 campaign demanding equality of same sex marriage, has come out with strong protest against the discrimination of LGBT community.
The "Murder" (2004) actress is all set to host an engagement party for her two gay friends at a beach house in Malibu.
Informing about the engagement, Mallika wrote on her micro-blogging site Twitter: "It's going to be so much fun;)."
Speaking about the legal issues relating to decriminalization of gay sex in India, Mallika, who was in India to shoot an item number for her upcoming film "Teez," said: "Homosexuality has been a part of our culture since the days of the kings and queens."
"Who the hell is anyone to tell us what is right and what's wrong? There's no law against it, homosexuality has been a part of our culture since the days of the kings and queens," The Hindustan Times quoted the actress as saying.
She made her Bollywood debut with "Khwahish" (2003), her performance in the "Murder" is her one of the commercial success films.
Apart from appearing in Indian films, she also acted in Hollywood films like "Hiss" (2010), "Politics of Love" (2011).
