A horrifying video of a woman thrashing a young girl at their house in Malaysia surfaced online on Monday, June 5, and within hours the footage went viral on social media. And the result? Malaysian police nabbed the Tamil-speaking woman and the suspect is expected to be remanded at the Petaling Jaya court on Tuesday.

The shocking video was shared on the Malaysian Indian Viral News Facebook page and viewed over 1.7 million times at the time of reporting. The admin of the social media page had also revealed the address of the woman in Puchong Perdana that helped the officials to arrest her within a few hours.
The two-minute-50-second video is sure to make the viewers upset as the nearly 5-year-old screams and gasps in pain. The woman beats her mercilessly and even removes the girl's dress in the video. Sadly, a puppy, seen in the video, seems to behave with more empathy, as it runs around in what could be an attempt to protect the girl. The woman is also heard saying in Tamil: "Are you recording to show this to media? then go ahead."
However, a few netizens criticised the person who filmed the incident for not stopping the woman from thrashing the girl. "The one taking the video is the real idiot.. Should have safe the girl n not continue taking video [sic]," Maleni Moialagan commented. Meanwhile, some are of the opinion that the video was shot by another kid, may be her brother, and it was only because of him, the police could easily arrest the woman.
"U guys are simply talking without knowing the fact/exact situation of the person who is holding the camera, it was poor little girl who didn't know anything about it...gladly she knows how to record a video otherwise we wouldn't know how long this abusing has been going on to that little girl...heartbreaking... Aunty you will be punished by the god [sic]," commented a netizen named Jegatheswaran Raman.
