After "King Liar," "Jacobinte Swargarajyam" and "Leela" succeeded in April, the month of May is going to be big for Malayalam entertainment industry as many long-awaited projects are scheduled to hit the screens this month.
Here is a compilation of the upcoming movies and their release dates:
James and Alice
After delivering many blockbuster movies, Prithviraj Sukumaran is set to rock the box office in Kerala with his upcoming movie "James and Alice," which is poised to release as the first Malayalam movie in May. The Sujith Vaassudev directorial, starring Vedhika, is set to hit the screens on May 5.
Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Theeti
Kunchacko Boban and Shamili's retro modern classic entertainer "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" has been making headlines since September 2014. After postponing the release date twice, the makers have planned to release the Rishi Sivakumar-directed movie on May 12.
Mudhugauv
Superstar Suresh Gopi's son Gokul and actor Vijayakumar's daughter Arthana are set to enthral the audience with their debut performance in the film "Mudhugauv." The makers of the movie, directed by Vipin Das, have planned to release the caper thriller on May 13.
Kammatipaadam
Dulquer Salmaan, who is basking in the success of the Sameer Thahir-directed "Kali," will be next seen in Rajeev Ravi's "Kammatipaadam." The flick, which has Shaun Romy, Rasika Dugal, Amalda Liz, Vinay Forrt, Shine Tom Chacko and Vinayakan in significant roles, is set to hit theatres on May 20.
Hallelooya
The movie "Hallelooya," directed by debutant Sudhi Aanna, marks the comeback of actor Narain to the Malayalam industry after a small gap. The film, which also has Meghana Raj, Sudheer Karamana, Sunil Sukhada, Ganesh Kumar, Sasi Kalinga, Saju Navodaya and Master Eric in pivotal roles, will be released on May 20.
Meanwhile, movies like Jayasurya-Kunchacko Boban's "School Bus," Jayaram's "Aadupuliyattam," Unni Mukundan's "Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya" and the "Premam" team's "Happy Wedding" are also expected to release in May.
