Malayalam movies "Maheshinte Prathikaaram," "Action Hero Biju" and "Vettah" opened to positive response from the audience after they were released at the Kerala box office. The films are also running successfully at the U.S. box office.
Dileesh Pothan directorial "Maheshinte Prathikaaram" is holding well in the U.S. even during its fourth weekend at the overseas box office. The family entertainer, set against the backdrop of Idukki, collected a gross amount of $9,750 from 13 screens during the weekend (March 18- 20). However, the movie witnessed a drop in the collection compared to the business it did in the previous week that amounts to $16,819 from 17 screens. The total gross collection of the movie from the U.S. box office is $84,435 [Rs 47.13 lakh].

Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly's "Action Hero Biju," directed by Abrid Shine has collected a gross amount of $2,199 from 4 screens during its seventh weekend making a total collection of $1,28,500 [Rs 85.46 lakh]. However, compared to the opening weekend collection, the Rajesh Pillai movie had a good business during its second weekend collecting $5,822, which takes its total to $7,922 gross from two weeks of its theatrical run in the U.S. The movie, starring Kunchacko Boban, Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran, is a psychological thriller that revolves around the character Melvin Philip, who claimed to have committed three murders.
