Swarna Thomas, who gained popularity through Amrita TV's reality show "Super Dancer" followed by some Tamil dance reality shows, is said to be recovering following her a near fatal fall from the fourth floor of her apartment.
The incident took place soon after she shooting for a song in her upcoming film "Buddy". She underwent two major operations for serious injuries to her spine and pelvis. After months of treatment, she announced that the accident was not intentional, dismissing rumours that she had jumped from the balcony.
In a recent interview, Thomas said she had gone to the balcony to look for her brother, when she felt dizzy and fell. There were rumors that her family was in a financial crisis and the Malayalam film industry was being generous towards her treatment.
Thomas had suffered severe fractures after the fall and it was said that she might not be able to walk again. Latest reports said she is now walking slowly and hoping to get back to work soon.
The teen actress is particularly excited after the recent release of her debut film "Pranayakadha", despite it not being a box office hit. Critics have praised Thomas for her performance. The romantic flick, which also stars Arun and Govindankutty, is an ambitious project directed by Aadhi Balakrishnan.
Thomas has two more films lined up for release - "Flat No 4B" and "To Let Ambadi Talkies".
