Recently, popular Malayalam actress Rima Kallingal stirred up some controversy, by posting the message - "Sex on the beach" - on her Facebook page.
Many were reportedly offended by the actress' status message, and some even suggested that Rima should not have talked about her private life on a public platform. Meanwhile, a few others labelled it a cheap publicity stunt, reported The Times of India.
Rima later clarified that she was actually referring to the popular cocktail "Sex on the beach" which she had while spending Valentine's Day with her husband - director Aashiq Abu. The actress had also posted a picture of the cocktail drink on her Facebook page. "For the uninitiated, 'Sex on the beach' is a delicious fruity cocktail made with vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice, cranberry juice and so on," Sify quoted Rima.
Rima tied the knot with director Aashiq Abu last year, in a simple ceremony in the presence of family members and relatives at the Sub-Registrar's office in Kochi. The former Miss Kerala runner-up, who began her acting career with "Ritu", has starred in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including "City of God", "Indian Rupee", "Nidra" and "22 Female Kottayam."
However, her last two releases - "Escape From Uganda" and "Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal" - were box office duds. She will be next seen as a journalist in cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Venu's untitled film, starring Malayalam superstar Mammooty.
