Popular Malayalam actors Jagadish and Siddique have reportedly found places in the draft list of the Congress candidates for the upcoming Kerala assembly elections as revealed Wednesday, March 2.
The draft list was prepared at the grassroots and has already been submitted to the top leadership of the party. The final list is expected to be out on March 10, sources close to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) told IANS.
If it turns out to be true, the comedian will be competing against actor and three-time legislator KB Ganesh Kumar from the Pathanapuram assembly constituency in Kollam. Meanwhile, Siddique is expected to represent the Congress party from the Aroor constituency in Alappuzha. However, both Jagadish and Siddique haven't officially confirmed regarding their association with the party and the news would be confirmed once the final list of candidates is out on March 10.

It has to be noted that Jagadish had earlier campaigned for the United Democratic Front candidates during the 2011 assembly polls and Siddique had recently interviewed Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy for a leading media house, and rumours had it that the actor would soon be a Congress candidate.
Both Jagadish and Siddique have acted in many movies together and are known for the movies "In Harihar Nagar," "Kunukkitta Kozhi," "Kallan Kappalil Thanne," "Kasarkode Khaderbai," "God Father," and "2 Harihar Nagar," among many others.
