Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi has been detained for questioning by Kerala Police over a complaint by 15 school students. It is alleged that the 40-year-old flashed his private parts to a group of students near a school in Palakkad district. He has denied the allegations.
The incident occurred on Aug. 27. According to the police complaint, a man stopped his Renault Duster car, exhibited his private parts and even tried to take the photos of some girls. The accused drove away only after the girls shouted at him.
Now, Sreejith, son of yesteryear Malayalam actor TG Ravi, has landed in trouble after the complainants mentioned the car's registration number. It belongs to the actor. A team from Ottappalam police station is probing the matter.
"The registration number of the car provided by the girls is mine. But I was not involved in any such incident. The girls might have mistakenly noted down the car's number. I have explained my version before the police. If I committed the offense, the students would have told my name to police. I think children recognise me," Sreejith told Manorama Online.
Sreejith, who has starred in many Malayalam movies, is known for his performances in films "Chanthupottu," "Kangaroo," "Punyalan Agarbathis" and "Urumbukal Urangarilla," among many others.
