Malayalam actor Dileep is on a signing spree. As per reports "Janapriya Nayagan" is awaiting back to back release of around 15 movies.
Dileep, known for movies for the masses that have a comic twist, has a series of films lined up for release this year. Apart from proving his versatility, this shows that he is one of the busiest and sought after actors of the industry.
Here are the movies that the actor has signed:
"Ivan Maryadharaman"
"Ivan Maryadharman", directed by debutant Suresh Diwakar, is reportedly one of Dileep's costliest films. The comedy is the remake of 2010 Telugu blockbuster film "Maryada Ramanna" and has Nikki Galrani in the lead role, opposite Dileep.
Scripted by the hit pair, Uday Krishna and Siby K Thomas, "Ivan Maryadharaman" will be their 20th film with Dileep after 2013's "Sringaravelan".
The shooting of the movie which wrapped up recently is shot completely at Pollachi in Tamil Nadu in a huge set worth ₹1 crore. It will also have ₹75 lakh worth graphic works and is expected to hit theatres for "Vishu" festival in April
Life of Josutty
"Life of Josutty" directed by Jeethu Joseph is one of the most awaited movies of the year. The first schedule of the movie is wrapped up and completed and the second schedule shooting of the movie will begin by March end in New Zealand.
The film's storyline is touted to have a family narrative, mixed with elements of comedy and fantasy. The film has a huge star cast which includes Rachana Narayanankutty , Jyothikrishna, Harish Peradi, Sunil Sugatha, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kalabhavan Mani.
"Life of Josutty" is also the first Malayalam movie to be produced and marketed by Eros International.
"Chandrettan Evidaya"
"Chandrettan Evidaya" helmed by actor turned director Siddharth Bharathan is touted to be a complete family entertainer. The shooting of the movie has begun on 22 January in Trivandrum.
The movie is penned by Santhosh Echikkanam, who had earlier wrote for films like "Nidra", "Bachelor Party", "Annayum Rasoolum" and "Njan Steve Lopez".
The cinematography of the film is handled by Shyju Khalid and the music is by Prasanth Pillai.
"King Liar"
"kingLiar" is probably one of the most talked about Dileep movie as it will mark return of hit duo if Siddhique – Lal after 20 years.
The film, which will be scripted by Siddique and directed by Lal is touted to be a laughter riot and is expected to hit the screens by mid 2015.
Despite these movies, Dileep has signed Rathish Ambat- Murali Gopi film and the shooting of this movie is expected to kick start in May. This is followed by the second schedule shooting of "Baba Sathyasai" in June.
Dileep has also signed a 3D movie titled as "Manthrikathakol" directed by Ramachandrababu. He has reportedly signed films with Sreebala, Boban Samuel-Udayan Sibi, Rafi-Shafi, Boban Samuel-Y V Rajesh, Laljose, Ajay Vasudev, Jeethu Joseph and Anwar Rasheed.
