The cash prize and car might be one of the reasons why starlets readily agree to feature on the high voltage reality show, but there's more to "Bigg Boss" than just that. It's has been a fame-giver and career booster for many.
While "Bigg Boss 8" was peppered with innumerable twists, the makers are apparently planning to make the upcoming season a star-studded one. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, ex-winners will be roped in for "Bigg Boss 9".
This means, viewers can expect Rahul Roy (Seaosn 1), Ashutosh Kaushik (Season 2), Vindoo Dara Singh (Season 3), Shweta Tiwari (Season 4), Juhi Parmar (Season 5), Urvashi Dholakia (Season 6) and Gauahar Khan (Season 7) this year on the show.
However, this leaves the question if "BB8" winner Gautam Gulati will return to the show. While that remains to be answered, the suave contestant is busy deciding on which projects to take up and what he would want to do in the near future.
"I want to work with everybody, every single star. They all are great. I really like Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. They visited the 'Bigg Boss' house too during my stay. I find Alia Bhatt really cute. I would definitely want to work with her. And of course, I want to work with the big banners – YashRaj and Dharma," The Indian Express quoted the young star as saying.
While his journey in Bollywood is yet to be mapped, a couple of ex-season winners have eerily disappeared from the big scene. Some quit work, some got married and some received film offers. But, from the looks of it they still cannot get over the addictive show.
Urvashi Dholakia, who now owns a Dubai-based media firm, said she would return for the all-winners format this year. Vindoo Dara Singh opined that TRP Ratings will soar once they enter. "I am already a winner. But I'll be back for the season of all the winners, next year. I have given my thumbs up to it because having all the winners in the house will be exciting. We'll break the TRPs," he told Mumbai Mirror.
Interestingly Gauahar said she would never want to go back into the house as there's little or no novelty left for her in the house, and Juhi blatantly turned down the offer as her 3-year-old daughter comes first.
