Popular UV-maker Mahindra has finally revealed the name of its upcoming mini SUV, which is currently known as U301. It's called TUV300, in which 'T' stands for Tough and 'UV' for Utility Vehicle.
Mahindra's new sub-four metre TUV300 will make its entry into the Indian market in September and the model will not replace any of the models of Mahindra. It was rumoured earlier that new SUV would be a replacement of Mahindra Bolero.
The new TUV300, which has been designed with the help of design firm Pininfarnia, will feature a flat-roof. Expected to boast a box design, new Mahindra TV300 will get mHawk80 diesel engine. A little is known about the engine specifications of the new offering. Although TUV300 will not be offered in 4WD (4 Wheel Drive) version at the time of launch, the company said TUV300 platform is ready for 4WD as well.
Previous reports had indicated that the new Mahindra SUV will get features like music system with Bluetooth, USB and aux-connectivity, black dashboard with silver accent, new gear knob, chrome-lined instrument cluster, three-spoke steering wheel, rear AC vents, ABS and dual front airbags.
