After launching the new age XUV500 facelift in India, Mahindra & Mahindra is now gearing up to launch the SUV in Australia.
Folks at CarAdvice report that the company will be launching the XUV500 in Australia in the last quarter this year.
The company will also be rolling out the long-rumoured automatic variant of XUV500 in the country in the second quarter of 2016, confirmed Mahindra Australia marketing manager James Halliwell. The automatic variant of the XUV500 will be getting six-speed automatic gearbox.
Mahindra rolled out its new age XUV500 in India on 25 May at a starting price of ₹11.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new XUV500 facelift, which comes with electric sunroof and many new features, also gets a new top-of-the-line variant W10.
On the safety front, the new XUV500 facelift gets six airbags (front, side and curtain), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hill Descent and Hill Hold control, and ABS with EBD. Other features of the new XUV500 include reverse parking, logo-projection lamps on OVRMS, six- way power adjustable driver seat, push button start /stop, keyless entry and 7-inch infotainment touch-screen.
