Mahindra still has not talked about plans of launching flashy XUV Aero concept, which was first showcased at Auto Expo 2016. But that doesn't stop the company from taking it to other auto shows. Mahindra has now showcased the XUV Aero Coupe concept at the Automobile Barcelona 2017, hinting that the company is keen to launch the model. Mahindra seems to be gauging the response for its coupe SUV before finalising on production plans.
Mahindra XUV Aero coupe SUV is a concept that has been conceptualised and designed at Mahindra's Design studio in Mumbai, with inputs from its Italian design firm Pininfarina. It boasts an aggressive stance with bold graphics and headlights with LED DRLs and features prominent shoulder lines. Inside the cabin, XUV Aero concept gets bucket seat and Mahindra's new infotainment system.
While other specs of the new Mahindra model are not made public yet, it seems to be generating lot of interest amongst auto enthusiasts. On the mechanical front, although the key technical specs are not known yet, the Aero XUV is expected to pack Mahindra's 2.2-litre mHawk engine under the bonnet, which can dish out 210bhp of power.
It was reported earlier that the XUV Aero concept could turn into a production version in next two years and is likely to carry a price tag of around Rs. 20 lakh. The XUV Aero concept could become one of the most expensive models of Mahindra in the Indian market.
