Mahindra Two Wheelers have achieved the milestone of selling 10 lakh two-wheelers in India. As part of its celebration of the new achievement, Mahindra has announced cashback offers on its popular models -- the Centuro and the Gusto.
While the Centuro gets a cashback offer of Rs. 5,000, Mahindra's scooter Gusto gets Rs. 3,000 cashback. Mahindra is expected to extend the offer to other models of the company in the coming days. Mahindra currently sells two bikes -- Centuro and Mojo -- and three scooters -- Gusto (Gusto 110 and Gusto 125), Rodeo UZo125 and Duro SZ. Mahindra Centuro has been priced at Rs. 51, 350 and the Gusto has been priced at Rs. 45, 410 for the base variant (ex-showroom Delhi).
Mahindra recently launched the 125cc version of the Gusto in India with the price tag of Rs. 48,410 (ex-showroom Delhi). At the heart, Gusto 125 gets 124.57 cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, M-TEC engine that is tuned to develop 8.5bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm with CVT. Although the fuel efficiency of the new Mahindra offering has not been revealed yet, expect it to be around 60kmpl.
Mahindra is now reportedly looking to bring the Peugeot range of scooters in India. After acquiring 51 percent stake in Peugeot Motorcycles, Mahindra is likely to introduce Peugeot scooters in India by 2017.
