Popular SUV maker Mahindra's sub-compact SUV KUV100 and compact SUV TUV300 have touched 50,000 units sales since their launch in India. TUV300 has been in the market since September 2015, while KUV100 became part of Mahindra's India portfolio in January 2016.
Mahindra KUV100
KUV100 began its journey in the Indian market on January 15, 2016. Priced at Rs 4.58 lakh (ex showroom Pune), KUV100, a sub-compact SUV, targeted the unchartered territory between hatchback and SUV.
Built on a monocoque chassis, the powerplant of KUV100 is Mahindra's newly-developed mFalcon engines and is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 engine is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114Nm, and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel engine can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm.
Its transmission is shouldered by a five-speed manual gearbox in both the diesel and petrol versions. The diesel models of Mahindra KUV100 claim to offer a mileage of 25.32 kmpl and the petrol promises to deliver 18.15 kmpl.

Launched in September 2015, Mahindra TUV300 has been witnessing great demand in the country. Mahindra TUV300 is offered in three variants — TUV300 T4, TV300 T6 and TUV300 T8. NuvoSport and TUV300 are the two compact SUVs of Mahindra to come equipped with automated manual transmission (AMT).
Mahindra TUV300 was originally launched with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder mHawk80 diesel engine that develops 84bhp at 3,750rpm and 230Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm mated to either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox and was later joined by mHawk100 engine.
