Home-grown UV maker Mahindra is all set to pull the wraps off its new SUV TUV300 in India on 10 September. A series of leaks and spy shots provided the auto enthusiasts with a good idea of how the new mini SUV has been styled and about the features in store.
Now, with only a few days left for the official launch of TUV300, the company released a new teaser video of the SUV. The teaser video, which is designed to show the toughness of TUV300, partly reveals the SUV's front end.
TUV300, the sub-four meter SUV, is expected to be offered in three variants: TUV300 T4, TUV300 T6 and TUV300 T8. It is likely to be priced at Rs 7 lakh. Under the hood, TUV300 will feature a new mHawk80 engine, which is expected to be an updated version of Quanto's 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel motor. The transmission in TUV300 is likely to be taken care of either by a 5-speed manual gearbox or AMT.
The bookings for TUV300 are open at the dealers of Mahindra across the country against a down payment of Rs 20,000, and the SUV is likely to be available in six exterior body shades: red, white, silver, black, blue and orange.
TUV300, the seven-seater SUV that has a battle tank-inspired boxy design, will be pitted against Ford EcoSport. The car will feature front-grille with chrome inserts, a flat roof, roof rails, short overhangs, swept-back headlamps, body-coloured door handles, door mirrors and bumpers.
