We have earlier reported that the bookings for Mahindra's upcoming Scorpio facelift is open in the country and now what comes to you next is an interesting tid bit that the upcoming SUV can be booked online through the popular e-retailer website Snapdeal.
Mahindra has inked a new deal with the online retailer Snapdeal for the pre-booking of its upcoming Scorpio facelift. The vehicle is now listed on the Snapdeal website and the interested buyers can book their SUV with a down payment of ₹20,000.
As per the listing of the e-retailer's website, the amount is refundable if the customer wants to cancel the booking after seeing it in the flesh and the website also confirms the launch date of the new Scorpio facelift as 25 September.
Going by the listing of the website, the 2014 Scorpio facelift will be available in six variants - S2, S4, S6, S6+, S8 and S10.
It will come donned in five body paints - Diamond White, Fiery Black, Mist Silver, Molten Red and Regal Blue. The website does not give away much details of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio, but the short briefing of each variant says,
S2 -entry level variant with the m2DiCr engine
S4 -the entry level variant with mHawk engine,
S6 - will feature 2DIN audio system & the exteriors will be body coloured
S6+ - will come fitted with Driver Airbag & ABS.
S8 – will feature Dual Airbags and ABS as standard. There will also be alloys.
S10 –The top-end variant will get Dual Airbags, ABS, Alloys, advanced touch-screen infotainment system, Rain & Light sensors apart from Steering mounted Audio & Cruise controls, Reverse Parking Assist and micro-hybrid technology.

After the booking is done, the website staff will reach to the customer and provide the list of dealerships to choose from.
The customers can visit their preferred dealership after 25 September and before 29 September and do the documentation and the rest of the payments. The vehicle is expected to get delivered within 4-6 weeks from the date of bookings.
Mahindra Scorpio facelift, a much-desired SUV, is expected to pack the same 2.2 litre four-cylinder turbo-charged mHawk diesel engine, which powers the current Scorpio model. The engine currently has the capacity to churn out 120bhp power and 290nm torque and rumours suggest that the transmission of the new Scorpio might come from upgraded five-speed manual gearbox.
Expected to fall in the price range of ₹8-₹13 lakh, the new Scorpio facelift is likely to get stylish headlights and grille along with the new LED taillights. Inside the cabin, the SUV is likely to feature automatic climate control, rectangular design central consoles AC vents, steering-mounted controls for audio and cruise control. When launched, the Scorpio facelift will be pitted against Tata Safari Storme, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
