Mahindra has been testing its S101 mini-SUV on the Indian roads for quite some time now. The micro-SUV has been spied once again while undergoing its final test runs in the country, this time giving us a closer look at the rear and side profile of the model.
Snapped by the folks at Shifting Gears, the latest spy shots of Mahindra S101 show it in it production guise. Judging by the images, although the camouflage hides a lot of details, the latest spy shots give a fairly good idea of the overall body proportion of S101.
The S101, which will be pinned to rival Maruti's tall-boy WagonR, will get a rear door design that is similar to the one in Chevrolet Beat.
Mahindra S101, which is also called KUV100 and XUV100, is based on an all-new monocoque platform. Rumours are rife that the UV maker will launch its S101 in India by January, 2016 before the Auto Expo.
Likely to get a price tag around Rs 4 lakh, S101 is expected to include 1.2 diesel and petrol mills. While the petrol mill of the Mahindra S101 is likely to be an all-new engine developed by the company; the diesel mill could be the watered-down version of 1.5-litre mHawk engine.
