Popular UV maker Mahindra has been putting its upcoming mini-SUV S101 through rigorous test regime in the country for quite a while now, and the spy shots of the model has been snapped quite a few times. Now a fresh batch image of Mahindra S101 has emerged on the internet, this time showing the side profile of the model.
MotorBeam has managed to snap the S101 while it was undergoing its usual test runs in Chennai, and like before the test mule was with considerable amount of camouflage. From the images, it looks like the S101 prototype is wearing production-spec head lamp and taillight. The images can also give us the overall body proportion of the model.
Built on an all-new monocoque platform, the sub-4-metre micro-SUV is expected to include 1.2 diesel and petrol mills under the hood. It is also likely to get a price tag of around Rs 5 lakh, Mahindra S101 is expected to get a 3+3 seating configuration with bench-type seats in the front.
The vehicle will come equipped with a range of safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD in its top-end variant. When launched, Mahindra S101 will rival Maruti Suzuki wagon R.
Regarding the launch of the model in India, the latest we heard is that Mahindra is looking to roll out S101 in 2016.
