Mahindra is expected to launch its mini-SUV codenamed S101 in India by the end of this year. The S101 which is currently undergoing test runs in the country has already made numerous appearances on the web though spy shots and leaked reports. Now, once again, a test mule of Mahindra S101 has been snapped, this time showing the interiors of the model.
The good chaps at Motor Vikatan have shared the interior images of Mahindra S101 and it shows the centre console of the compact SUV. There is a rotary knob for the AC and above the console there is also a manual gearbox. One can also see the three-spoke steering wheel of the S101.
Mahindra S0101, also known as KUV100 and XUV100, is expected to get a 3+3 seating configuration with bench-type seat in the front.
Under the hood, S101 is expected to include 1.2 diesel and petrol mills. While the petrol mill of the Mahindra S101 is likely to be an all-new engine developed by the company; the diesel mill could be the watered-down version of 1.5-litre mHawk engine. There have also been rumours about an AMT variant of S101.
To be priced at around Rs 4.5 lakh, Mahindra S101 is expected to house features like an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, four airbags and an electronic stability programme.
