A new prototype of Mahindra's new compact SUV S101 has been caught on the camera once again, giving us yet another look at the design and style of the model.
Mahindra S101 has been in the spotlight for quite a while now and the car was caught on camera numerous times while testing. The latest images, which came from MotorBeam, also provide a glimpse of the interior of the car.
Expected to make its India debut later this year, S101 - a sub-four metre compact SUV - is built on a new monocoque platform. A lot has been said about the upcoming SUV and its features.
Under the hood, the model in question is likely to carry Mahindra's newly-developed engines. Mahindra's new engine line-up includes 1.2 litre diesel and petrol motors, 1.6 litre diesel and petrol units, 1.5-litre diesel and there is also 1.5 litre petrol and a 1.0-litre petrol engine.
As for features, expect it to include anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, four airbags and electronic stability programme. After its launch, S101 will compete with Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster in India.
It is no secret that Mahindra is also readying a new generation Bolero and a facelifted version of its XUV500, for this year. Both the models are currently in the testing phase. The upcoming Bolero, codenamed U301, is expected to come with features like a larger screen infotainment system, newly-styled dashboard with a central console, a three-spoke steering wheel and rectangular AC vents.
