The remaining part of the year will be busy for home-grown UV maker Mahindra and Mahindra. The company is gearing up to roll out new models in the country.
It had recently unveiled its new mini SUV dubbed TUV300 (Tough Utility Vehicle), which will make its debut in the country in September.
Now, the latest buzz on the web is that Mahindra's upcoming compact SUV, which is currently known as S101, is likely to be called 'CUV100' or 'XUV100'.
A new report in MotorOctane claims that the S101 of Mahindra could be monikered as 'CUV100' or 'XUV100'.
The report also says the company was also considering the name 'Nuvosport' for the same model. The Mahindra S101 is likely to be launched with a price tag of around Rs 5 lakh.
From what we know so far, the S101 is a sub-four metre compact SUV and is likely to draw power from the company's new engine line-up.
As we already know, Mahindra is readying seven new engines to power its future vehicles. The engines include 1.2 litre diesel and petrol motors, 1.6 litre diesel and petrol units, 1.5-litre diesel and there is also 1.5 litre petrol and a 1.0-litre petrol engine.
