Popular UV maker Mahindra and Mahindra is back on track in the Indian market with its new offerings -- XUV500 facelift, Mahindra TUV300, Mahindra Thar facelift, and the Mahindra Jeeto commercial vehicle. Now, the latest is that the company is planning to expand its portfolio in the country with two more new models by the end of this fiscal.
While speaking to ETAuto, Pravin Shah -- President and Chief Executive of Mahindra Automotive -- confirmed that the company is gearing up to launch two new products by March 2016. Although he did not divulge the details about the new offerings, the rumours swirling on the internet indicate that the two models could be the much-awaited S101 and Qaunto facelift, which are currently in their testing phase in the country.
"FY16, we have launched the products we had planned. And there is more in store. We will be launching a couple of new products before the end of this financial year," said Shah.
Mahindra, which launched its TUV300 -- sub-compact SUV -- in India in September, has delivered around 12,700 vehicles and managed to get 16,000 units. The company, which is currently in the process of increasing the production of theTUV300, continues to witness great demand for the AMT avatar of the model.
"Looking at the current product portfolio continuing to do better and there are new products on the anvil, cumulatively, we have moved into positive territory," he added.
