A new prototype of Mahindra's Quanto facelift has been spied undergoing testing in the country, indicating the arrival of the model in the market soon.
Caught on camera by the folks at MotorOctane, the new facelifted avatar of Quanto was seen partially camouflaged and the front camouflage seems to be hiding a lot of details. From the images, it looks like Quanto facelift is likely to get changes in the front and rear profile. The model is expected to flaunt a new front styling with headlamps, front grille and re-worked front bumper.
The side profile of the model is likely to remain more or less same as the current model in the market and at the back, the new Quanto is speculated to feature new bumper with taillights. The new Quanto also seems to have a bonnet airdam.
Inside the cabin, the new Quanto facelift is expected to get minor modifications like a new steering wheel. Under the hood, Mahindra Quanto is expected to draw the power from the same 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine, which can pump in 100 bhp at 3,750 rpm and 240 Nm of torque between 1,600-2,800 rpm.
Going by the words of the original publisher of the latest spy shots, in the new facelifted model, Mahindra engineers have worked on the suspension and the driving dynamics too. The facelifted Quanto is likely to be launched latest this year with a price tag slightly higher than the existing version.
Mahindra is also reportedly working on a Quanto AMT model which will also see the light of the day this year.
