The work on Mahindra's upcoming Quanto facelift seems to be going on at a rapid pace as the company continues testing the model on Indian roads.
The Quanto facelift has been caught on camera once again; this time, by ZigWheels. In the images, the test mule of the facelifted avatar of Mahindra Quanto is seen partially camouflaged. It appears like the front camouflage is hiding a lot of details.
In its new facelifted avatar, Mahindra Quanto is expected to boast of changes in the front as well as the rear. From what we have heard so far, the model is likely to get a new front styling with headlamps, front grille and re-worked front bumper. At the back, the model seems to have got new bumper with taillights and the side profile of the facelift is likely to remain more or less same as the current model in the market.
Under the hood, Quanto facelift is expected to carry over the same 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine, which can pump in 100 bhp at 3,750 rpm and 240 Nm of torque between 1,600-2,800 rpm from the existing model and is likely to get improved suspension and the driving dynamics.
Tipped to make its market debut sometimes this year, Quanto facelift's interior will also see changes like new steering wheel. Mahindra is also understood to be working on an AMT model of Quanto and is likely to make its market entry in 2015.
