It is no secret that Mahindra and Mahindra is working on thefacelifted avatar of its Quanto for the Indian market, and the company has been testing the model on the Indian roads for quite some time now.
Now, the folks at Autocar India have rendered the upcoming Quanto facelift of Mahindra, suggesting the changes that are likely to be part of the new model when it is launched in the country in early 2016. From the rendering images, it looks like most of the changes in the Quanto facelift are at the front part of the model. The image suggests that the Quanto facelift will get a new headlight cluster with integrated LED daytime running lights and there is also Mahindra's traditional grille with new bumpers and body cladding. The new avatar of Quanto looks aggressive in its styling with prominent SUV look.
The cabin of the Mahindra Quanto facelift is also likely to incorporate changes such as additional features, beige-themed dashboard and steering wheel. Mechanically, the facelifted avatar is expected to include the mHawk80 three-cylinder diesel engine, which does duty in new TUV300.The engine develops 84bhp power and 230 Nm torque and offers a fuel efficiency of 18.49kmpl. We also hear that the Quanto facelift could also come equipped with AMT boxes.
Mahindra Quanto facelift is expected to hit the showrooms in early 2016. Rumours are also rife that the model will debut at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo, which is scheduled to be held in February.
