The facelifted avatar of Mahindra's Quanto is expected to make its market debut in early 2016, and now ahead of its launch, the model has been snapped again, adding to the long list of its spy shots ahead of its official launch.
Snapped by Dhananjay Amberkar, the latest spy shot of the Quanto facelift shows the model with slightly less camouflage. The Mahindra Quanto facelift, supposedly named Canto, is expected to make its debut at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016, scheduled to kick-start in February. Nothing much has changed from what we saw the last time, and the disguise on the prototype still does a good job of covering key details of the model. However, from what we know, the Quanto facelift will boast a newly-styled front fascia with front grille and bumper. The new avatar of the Quanto facelift is also expected to get new alloys.
Mechanically, the new Quanto facelift is expected to remain the same as the current model and is likely to continue with the 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine, which can pump in 100bhp at 3,750rpm and 240Nm of torque between 1,600-2,800rpm. There have also been rumours that the model is likely to get improved suspension and driving dynamics. A recent spy shot of the Quanto facelift indicated the new avatar of the model could get an AMT box.
Inside the cabin, the facelifted Quanto is likely to be the same as the current model, but with additional features like multi-function steering wheel.
