A prototype of Mahindra's upcoming Quanto AMT has been spied undergoing testing in the country, revealing the interiors of the car.
The test mule was snapped by Indian Autos Blog reader, Tharun Rejeev and the car is seen virtually undisguised except the badge seen on the front door. The latest spy shots also show the interiors of the Quanto SUV and there seem to be a new steering wheel for the AMT model.
From the visual standpoint, Quanto AMT is likely to get the same body design and styling of the existing SUV model and one cannot find much changes from the images.
As for the engine, the SUV is expected to draw the power from the same 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine, which can pump in 100 bhp at 3,750 rpm and 240 Nm of torque between 1,600-2,800 rpm.
The Quanto AMT is likely to reach the Indian market by the end of this financial year and at this point of time, other details about the SUV are unknown.
There are rumours swirling around the web on a facelift of Quanto, however, we are not sure if it is the one spotted on test.
Besides Quanto AMT, the new generation Bolero and a new compact SUV S101 are also expected to come out from Mahindra's factory by next year. Both the SUVs have made numerous appearances on the web already through spy images and reports.
Talking about the new Bolero, the vehicle is expected to see the light of the day sometime in next year. It is likely to accommodate features like larger screen infotainment system, newly styled dashboard with a new central console, a new three spoke steering wheel and rectangular AC vents.
Under the hood, both Bolero and S101 are expected to pack Mahindra's new engines. For S101, the car is expected to pack mounted multifunction controls, automatic climate control, airbags and a new infotainment system.
