Auto aficionados of the country recently got the first glimpse of the interiors of Mahindra's upcoming new-generation Bolero. Now, a fresh batch of images of the same model has hit the web once again, this time showing the interior of the model in production-ready guise.
Snapped by the folks at MotorBeam, the interior of the new-generation Bolero that has been codenamed U301 shows the black dashboard with sliver accent, a new gear knob, chrome lined instrument cluster and three-spoke steering wheel. There is also music system with Bluetooth, and USB and aux-connectivity.
Although the company has been tight-lipped about the engine specifications of the new Bolero, rumours indicate a 1.5 litre diesel engine, which can churn out 100PS of power and 240Nm of torque. It has also been speculated that the model will have Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) gearbox. The car is expected to make its India debut this year and now the repeated sightings tell us that the launch could take place earlier than expected.
Other features expected include rear AC vents, ABS and dual front airbags. From what we have heard so far, the new-generation Bolero will initially be launched in two wheel drive version and will get the 4 wheel drive variant later in the year.
After its launch, Mahindra's new-generation Bolero will compete against Chevrolet Tavera and Tata Sumo, and is likely to be priced around ₹6 lakh.
