Ahead of the reported launch on 16 October, Mahindra has opened a dedicated website for its Mojo motorcycle. www.mahindramojo.com gives a clear picture of the motorcycle in the home page itself.
The new website has the option to register for test rides, which is currently available only in four cities -Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Delhi. It further gives information on the key people behind the motorcycle under the section 'Trails of Mojo Tribe'.
Previous reports indicated that the motorcycle will be priced in the range of Rs 1.8 lakh and under Rs 2 lakh.
The Mahindra Mojo 300 is powered by a 296cc liquid cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine that can churn out power of 27bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of segment leading 30Nm at 6,500rpm.
The flagship motorcycle stands out with current crop of motorcycles with its unique design. It features twin headlamps positioned on a black cowl. The daytime running lights are positioned above the headlamps. The upside down forks at front and the bars that run under the fuel tank and swing arms come in golden shade.
The Mojo will come with the segment's first Pirelli Sport Demon tyres mounted on Y-spoke black alloy wheels, which are known for its better grip in any road condition. The braking is taken care of by disc brakes for both the wheels. The Mojo 300 will also feature tank mounted ignition key and chunky exhaust pipes.
When launched, Mahindra Mojo will compete with Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Honda CBR 250R/300R and KTM Duke twins.
