It is now official that Mahindra XUV500 is getting a new variant with sunroof.
Dubbed as XUV500 W8 Xclusive, the new edition of the model will be sitting above the XUV500 W8 variant, reported TeamBHP. Going by the report, the new edition has other added features like electrically-adjustable driver seat, hydraulic bonnet, new infotainment system with internet connectivity and chrome inserts.
The engine line-up of the new edition is likely to get the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk diesel mill, which churns out a power of 140 bhp at 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 330 Nm at 1,600-2,800 rpm. There are unconfirmed reports that XUV500 will also be getting automatic and hybrid models.
In 2015, Mahindra will also be launching its new generation Bolero and a compact SUV S101 in India, which are currently undergoing testing in India.
Riding on a hydroformed ladder-frame chassis, the new generation Bolero is expected to get features like a larger screen U301, infotainment system, newly-styled dashboard with a central console, a three-spoke steering wheel and rectangular AC vents.
On the other hand, S101 - the sub-four metre compact SUV - is based on an all-new monocoque platform and is expected to get features like anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, four airbags and electronic stability programme.
