Home grown automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra will be adding nine models to its product portfolio in India this fiscal year.
The company, which launched the facelifted avatar of its XUV500 in India on 25 May, said the nine new models will include two sports utility vehicles (SUVs), reported ET Auto.
"We plan to launch nine products including two all-new compact SUVs and refreshes of current models during the current fiscal," ET Auto quoted Mahindra & Mahindra executive director Pawan Goenka as saying.
Although the company did not divulge details about the new models, rumours floating on the web suggest the two compact SUVs are likely to be the S101 and the U301. Both the models, which are currently in testing phase in the country, were caught on camera many times. The models are likely to be priced lower than Mahindra Quanto.
Under the hood, Mahindra's new Bolero U301 and S101 are expected to pack 1.5 litre diesel engines, which can churn out 100PS of power and 240Nm of torque. The other models on the cards for this fiscal are the facelifted avatar of Quanto and P601 LCV.
