Popular UV maker Mahindra is busy putting its upcoming models through final testing in the country. Although the company is yet to release the launch details of the new models, the latest reports that are doing the rounds on the web seem to be offering some clarity on how and when these models will be launched.
A new report of Indian Autos Blog, citing its industry sources, claimed that Mahindra's new generation Bolero, which is codenamed U301, will be making its entry before the launch of S101 compact SUV. Going by the latest report, Mahindra U301 is likely to be launched in India around September this year followed by S101 in December.

Under the hood, Mahindra's new Bolero is expected to pack a 1.5 litre diesel engine, which can churn out 100PS of power and 240Nm of torque. Likely to be offered in a two-wheel version at the time of launch, new Bolero is likely to get music system with Bluetooth, and USB and aux-connectivity, black dashboard with sliver accent, a new gear knob, chrome lined instrument cluster and three-spoke steering wheel.
Mahindra S101
A sub-four metre compact SUV that is built on a new monocoque platform, it is likely to draw power from the company's new engine line-up.
The S101 is likely to get 3+3 seating configuration with bench type seat in the front. The features speculated include anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, four airbags, and electronic stability programme.
