Just a few hours stand between the Indian auto aficionados and the highly anticipated Mahindra KUV mini-SUV before it goes on sale in India on 15 January. KUV100, the new offering from the house of the home-grown UV maker, is an answer to those who want to own something more than just a hatchback, but not a full-grown SUV.

Caught on camera countless times flaunting its design and interior sneaks to the under the hood shots, Mahindra KUV100 has already become a regular fixture in the auto world and it's not over yet. Before Mahindra breaks the cover of its KUV100 officially in India on 15 January, coming your way is one last parting gift, spy shots of the model that popped up on the website Shifting Gears. While it was just a day ago a walk-around video of Mahindra KUV100 made its way into the internet, the latest is a set of spy shots of the model showing every bit of the new micro-SUV.

The images, which is believed to be of the mid-variant K4, shows DRL and KUV100 branding in the headlamp cluster, multi-spoke silver alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers, door handles and mirrors, C-pillar mounted rear door handle, taillamp cluster, badging on hatch door, boot space, mFalcon diesel engine, inner door panel and steering wheel with audio controls. As seen before, there are vertically placed AC vents and integrated stereo & dashboard mounted gear lever.

To offered in four variants — K2, K4, K6 and K8 — with the K2+, K4+ and K6+ sub-variants, KUV100 will be available in 7 colours: Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black.

Under the hood, Mahindra KUV100 will include the company's new engine mFalcon. The petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 engine is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114Nm, and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel engine can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm. The transmission is likely to be taken care of by a five-speed manual gearbox in both the diesel and petrol versions.

KUV100 will be squared off against Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Tata Zica and Hyundai Grand i10 in India and is expected to get a price tag starting at Rs 4 lakh.
