Mahindra and Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of its new compact SUV KUV100 in India in the first month of next year. The company, which unveiled the model in India on 18 December, has now opened the bookings for the new SUV.
The bookings for new KUV100 are open across the dealerships of Mahindra in the country, starting from 19 October. Although the pricing details of Mahindra KUV100 (S101) are awaited, Mahindra is expected to price it aggressively. The rumours indicate that the KUV100 would become the most affordable SUV from Mahindra's stable.
Riding on an all-new platform, under the hood, the Mahindra KUV100 (S101) will get the company's new engine mFalcon. To be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, the petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114NM, and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm.
KUV100 will be available in four variants and will feature anti-lock braking system (ABS) as a standard across all variants.
The KUV100 will be available in 7 exciting colours: Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black.
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan will be the brand ambassador for the SUV, and the TVC featuring him will released soon.
The KUV100 will be launched in India on 15 January at the company's Chakan, Pune-based, plant.
