Mahindra KUV100 compact SUV is now available with the Explorer kit and other accessories. The company in a tweet informed the availability of the kitted up KUV100, which was showcased at Auto Expo 2016.
The jazzed up version of the KUV100 features ore rugged look with cladding, side skirts, bonnet scoops, door and tail lamp protectors. Additionally, it comes with rear spoiler, an LED strip, front bull bar, side footsteps and roof rails. There are no changes on the interior.
There are no changes in the powertrain as well. The small SUV packs Mahindra's new mFalcon engines under the hood. While the petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 engine is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114Nm, the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel engine can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm. Both the engines come mated to five-speed manual gearbox.
Priced between Rs. 4.42 lakh and Rs 6.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), the KUV100 is offered in four variants — K2, K4, K6 and K8 — and three sub-variants — K2+, K4+ and K6+. It is also offered in seven colours — fiery orange, flamboyant red, dazzling silver, aquamarine, pearl white, designer grey and midnight black. The Explorer kit will be priced higher than the base price of variant.
Launched in January this year, the KUV100 has been clocking good sales for the company. In May, the KUV100 became the bestseller of Mahindra by beating long standing workhorse -- the Bolero. The KUV100 found 4,446 takers last month.
