Just a few days stand between the Indian auto enthusiasts and popular UV maker Mahindra's new mini SUV KUV100. The rumour mills are on a roll for the last few weeks with several features and spy images linked to the KUV100, which will see light of the day in India in the second week of January.

As the home-grown UV maker, Mahindra, gets ready to welcome their new baby, KUV100, fresh batch images of the model have started doing the rounds on the internet, this time giving a sneak peek into the cabin of the micro-SUV.

Snapped by the folks at Autocar India, the latest images reveal the 3+3 seating layout with the bench seat for the front row. The most intriguing part of the cabin of KUV100 is the gear lever mounted on the dashboard just like the Datsun Go and the handbrake lever is below the centre console and gets a pull-type mechanism. There is a new multi-functions steering wheel and three vertically placed HVAC knobs on the centre console. Moving further, the KUV100's infotainment system does not get the touchscreen; however, there is a display for multimedia information.

Mahindra KUV100 will be launched in India on 15 January. The bookings for the models are currently underway in the country and KUV100 will be offered in four variants -- K2, K4, K6 and K8. All variants of KUV100 will feature anti-lock braking system (ABS) and get optional dual airbag across the line up.

Riding on an all-new platform, under the hood, the Mahindra KUV100 (S101) will get the company's new engine mFalcon. To be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, the petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114NM, and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm.
