Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) has launched the 125cc version of the Gusto scooter in eight more states. The scooter is now available in Maharashtra, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi. MTWL launched the Gusto 125 in March but sales was restricted in the southern states of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu until now.
The scooter has been priced at Rs. 48,410 for DX trim and Rs. 52,410 for VX variant, ex-showroom Delhi. Visually the Gusto 125 and the 110cc version look identical, except that the former comes with new body graphics. The Gusto 125 is offered in Orange Rush, Bolt White, Monarch Black and Regal Red colours. The Gusto 125 also gets features like height adjustable seat, remote flip key with guide lamp, follow-me-home headlamp and LED pilot lamps.
"Since its launch last year, Gusto has grown consistently and we are now excited about extending the Gusto brand to include new consumer segments," said Vinod Sahay, the Chief Operating Officer of MTWL, in a statement.
The scooter is powered by 124.57 cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, M-TEC engine that develops 8.5bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm with CVT. The scooter measures 1,825mm in length, 711mm in width, 1,188mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,275 mm. It has a ground clearance of 165 mm and a 6-litre fuel tank. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels shod with MRF tubeless tyres.
