New spy shots of Mahindra XUV500's facelifted version has made yet another appearance online; and this time, showing the sunroof.
The latest images of facelifted avatar of XUV500 were snapped by MotorBeam reader Cibhi near the Bangalore highway.
The pictures show its rear and front profiles' styling. Besides the sunroof, one can also see the front bumper with the reworked headlights and grille. However, the overall design of the new XUV500 remains identical to the current generation. Other changes expected include chrome line for tail lamps, chrome handles for the door and new alloy wheels.
XUV500, a model which has been enjoying a tremendous ride in the Indian market since its entry in 2011, is likely to carry over the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk diesel mill, which currently generates a power of 140 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque of 330 Nm at 1,600-2,800 rpm in its new avatar too. There have also been rumours about the automatic variant of XUV500 and a hybrid model of the same. However, it has not been confirmed as yet.
Mahindra XUV500 facelift is expected to make its entry into the market officially in the second half of 2015, with a price tag slightly higher than the current version. When launched, the model will take on the likes of Tata Safari Storme and Renault Duster in India.
