The facelifted Mahindra XUV500 is reportedly set to make its India entry as early as this month. If the emerging reports on the web hold true, the much anticipated XUV500 facelift will see the light of the day on 25 May.
A new report of NDTV Auto said the popular UV maker Mahindra will be pulling the wraps off its new 2015 XUV500 SUV on 25 May. Mahindra XUV500 facelift has been spied in the country numerous times in its disguised and completely revealed avatar.
As for styling and design, the 2015 XUV500 maintains the same body kit of the existing model of the SUV except for minor tweaks like new headlamp clusters with projector 'S' shaped daytime running LEDs, chrome enriched grille and fog lights and wider air dam. The side profile of the facelift also remains just as the same but with new 10-spoke alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the new XUV500 is expected to get new colour scheme to give it upmarket feel.
Previous spy shots had indicated new body colours for the upcoming 2015 XUV500. Under the skin, the new XUV500 facelift is expected to pack the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk diesel mill, which currently generates a power of 140 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque of 330 Nm at 1,600-2,800 rpm.
To be pitched against Tata Safari Storme and Renault Duster in India, the facelifted Mahindra XUV500 is likely to be pegged at a price tag of around ₹11.5 lakh.
