Mahindra Two Wheelers is readying a new motorcycles for the Indian market and the bike has been caught on camera probably for the first time, giving an early glimpse at the model. The new Mahindra motorcycle is believed to be in its testing phase in the country.
Motor buffs at Carandbike have shared a set of images of Mahindra's new yet-to-be-named 155cc commuter bike, which was snapped while undergoing test runs near Pune, Maharashtra. From the images, it looks like the new bike may have the design of a purpose-built model with long and features wide seat and luggage carrier. The instrument cluster of the bike looks simple and it seems to have got wide rear tyre.
The bike is expected to be powered by a 155cc single-cylinder engine, which is likely to churn out 14bhp of power. Other features include large circular head and tail lamps and turn indicators. There is no information about the launch of the model in the market. However, word of mouth suggests an imminent launch.
Meanwhile, Mahindra has launched its quarter-litre motorcycle Mojo in 11 states in India, as part of the second phase of its launch. The Mojo is now available in Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The Mojo, which made its India debut in October last year, has been priced at Rs. 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
