Indian doubles players such as Rohan Bopanna, Sania Mirza and Leander Paes have progressed to the second round of the Wimbledon 2015 with their respective doubles partners.
Another familiar name missing in the above list is Mahesh Bhupathi, who partners Janko Tipsarevic for this year's Wimbledon. The pairing of Bhupathi and Tipsarevic will start off their Wimbledon men's doubles campaign on Thursday when they face the pairing of Robert Lindstedt and Jurgen Melzer for a place in the second round.
Bhupathi will be eager to not come up with a repeat performance from the last Grand Slam, the French Open, as the Indian, who had partnered Nick Kyrgios, bowed out in the first round in straight sets 6-3, 6-1at the hands of Lucas Pouille and Thanasi Kokkinakis .
Bhupathi is well past his prime, but he still has it in him to deliver the goods in the circuit after having gained huge experience over the years playing in Wimbledon. The Indian doubles legend won the Wimbledon in 1999.

Expecting Bhupathi to go all the way might not be right, but if Tipsarevic and Bhupathi start combining well in the doubles arena, they can enjoy a decent run in the competition. Are we asking too much from the pair, especially with Tipsarevic primarily being a singles player?
Though Tipsarevic may not have won a single Grand Slam title either in the doubles or the single arena, his experience is going to come in handy when these two start their campaign against Lindstedt and Melzer.
Tipsarevic best finish in any Grand Slam doubles has been a quarterfinal exit in the 2008 French Open.
After Sania, Paes and Bopanna won their matches with relative ease, Bhupathi might be under some sort of pressure to follow suit.
Leander Paes and his partner Daniel Nestor defeated the Serbian pair of Victor Troicki and Dusan Lajovic in straight sets with the score reading 6-3, 6-4, 7-5, while Rohan Bopanna and his partner Florin Mergea defeated Tim Smyczek and Jiri Vesley in the men's doubles.
Top seeds in the women's doubles, Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis cruised past Zarina Diyas and Saisai Zheng to reach the second round.
