Distribution house Classics Entertainment, which has acquired the overseas rights for Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu", has leaked the first look of the movie, which has gone viral on the social media.
It was reported recently that the makers of the Mahesh Babu and Shruthi Haasan starrer movie were busy with the final designs for the first look of the yet-to-be titled film. It was also revealed that they had planned to unveil the first-look on 21 March on the eve of Ugadi. But two posters appeared online three weeks ahead of the scheduled launch.
The rumour mills were abuzz with the news that the makers of the movie were considering several names such as "Parakrama", "Magaadu", "Maa Akka Bangaram", "Srimanthudu" for the movie. If we are to go by the two posters, the producers have zeroed-in on "Srimanthudu" as the title.
"Srimanthudu", which is touted to be a family-entertainer, has been written and directed by "Mirchi"-fame Koratala Siva and produced by Naveen, Y Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. Popular musician Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for the film.
Mahesh Babu is playing the male lead, while Shruti Hasaan, who was earlier seen with the actor in the item song of "Aagadu" plays his love interest. The makers have kept the story and details of their roles under the wraps. Jagapathi Babu plays Prince's father, while Rajendra Prasad, Nadhiya, Amani, Sampath Raj, Brahmanandam and Poorna appear in supporting cast.
Launched in August 2014, "Srimanthudu" has been shot in different locations of Hyderabad, Pune and Tamil Nadu. R Madhi is handling the cinematography for the film. The film unit is currently shooting for a fight sequence involving Mahesh Babu in Pollachi. The movie is expected to be release in May 2015.
Ever since it was announced, "Srimanthudu" has been creating buzz in the media for all the good reasons. Mahesh Babu fans were eagerly waiting to see the first look of the film. The leaked posters are now creating waves and spreading like wild fire in the social media. The producers are yet to make a statement on its leaked first-look and title.
