The teaser of Mahesh Babu's SPYder, which was supposed to be released on May 31, has been postponed following the death of Tollywood legend Dasari Narayana Rao. It will now be out on 1 June.
AR Murugadoss revealed the news by re-tweeting a post from the Twitter account of Mahesh Babu''s official website. It read, " #SPYderTeaserOnJune1st #RIPDasariNarayanaRao Garu @santoshsivan @preyadarshi". [sic]" The teaser release is delayed as a mark of respect to Dasari Narayana Rao, who died on May 30 after prolonged illness.
Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss have posted condolence messages on Twitter over the death of Dasari Narayana Rao. "His death leaves a void that can never be filled. Prayers and strength with the whole family," the actor tweeted.
"Deeply distressed to learn about the passing away of one of the Greatest Stalwarts of Indian Film Industry #DasariNarayanaRao Sir. #RIP,"AR Murugadoss wrote on Twitter.
The makers have been creating a hype about the teaser release of SPYder for the last few days. Mahesh Babu's fans have been curiously looking forward for it.
SPYder is being simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. Mahesh Babu plays the role of a secret agent in the film. Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as his leading lady in the film, while SJ Surya is the antagonist in the AR Murugadoss-directed project. Bharath, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, RJ Balaji and others play supporting roles.
The film features Harris Jayaraj's music, Santosh Sivan's cinematography and A Sreekar Prasad's editing.
Currently, SPYder is said to be in the final leg of its shooting and the makers have already started its post-production works. The climax portions of the movie feature a lot of special effects, for which AR Murugadoss signed up VFX supervisor Kamal Kannan, who has earlier worked on projects like Eega and Magadheera. It will hit the screens in September.
